The Palms Residence is located on a narrow, urban lot in Venice, California. The home looks inward, incorporating covered decks and a little courtyard space, giving the structure a sense of privacy regardless of its place on an infill lot.

Comprised of 14 modules, the two,800 sq ft house includes 3 bedrooms, 2.five baths, a living space/dining room, a double height kitchen with an operable skylight, an workplace, and 700 added square feet of outdoor living space. Huge expanses of glass on the southern side of the structure fill the property with organic light and connect the interior and exterior spaces.

The property includes custom walnut casework in the living area and kitchen, concrete floors on the very first floor, and eco-timber hickory floors on the second floor. The bed rooms have built-in beds and extra casework. The exterior of the home is completed with cedar siding. A series of screening techniques, including landscaping, fencing, and louvered panels offer shelter from the street whilst retaining the open feel of the home.
